It was Ava’s 6th birthday last week. And I keep thinking to myself, woah, how did we get here? It’s nuts, but awesome all at the same time.
Last year we had a craft party at Little Fete and it was so fab, we decided to go back this year. It’s such a brilliant space for parties and the ladies are so lovely. Oh and it’s 10 minutes from home, which is a huge bonus!
The front of the shop is where the creating happens, and there’s a smaller room where the kids eat lunch and cake. There’s disco lights and music, and plenty of space for the parents to hang out and make tea and coffee while the kids create.
This year it was all about Ava’s school friends, some old (from kinder), and some new. There were 11 little ladies, and they had an absolute ball.
First they created a bracelet, using letter beads to spell out their name. Then they created a wooden jewellery tree. At first they painted, then came the glitter and to finish off, they stuck some sequins and jewels on.
They were all captivated and made some really gorgeous creations. Each of them proudly showing their parents at pick up time.
For me, this is the best kind of party, and all too easy. The Little Fete ladies run a very tight ship and are so great with the kids.
