A lot of my friends have little girls. Some also have boys, but I seem to be surrounded by lots of little girls. When you walk into my house or take a drive with me, it’s pretty obvious that I have a girl. And here are just some of the reasons why.
Even before Ava was born, I was determined that she wasn’t going to be surrounded by fluffy, pink, super girly stuff. BUT, you know what? Little girls will be little girls and the love of pink is pretty much built in before they arrive. And there’s no point in trying to control it, if she loves pink, she loves pink.
- Hair accessories.
Hair clips, hair elastics and headbands are all over the house and in my handbag.
What can I say? I loved Barbie and so does my girl. No surprises there.
- Girly bath toys.
Most kids have bath toys and whilst Ava loves playing with The Octonauts in the bath, it’s all about the girly toys. There’s Ariel and another of her mermaid friends and there’s a Lalaloopsy mermaid too.
- Toys in the back of the car.
I always find Ava’s little friends in the car. I might be a My Little Pony or a Barbie. EVERY time we head out, she has to bring a friend along.
- Frozen stuff.
No explanation needed.
It’s on the stairs, it gets into the carpet, it’s everywhere.
- Tiny pots of nail polish.
- Tiny accessories to style toys with hair.
There are so many toys and figurines for girls with hair. My Little Pony, Barbie, Bratz, Monster High to name a few. There are tiny combs, brushes and clips all over the place.
Little butterfly rings, beaded necklaces, pretty bracelets. They’re in the bathroom, Ava’s room, the lounge, the kitchen, even my room!
Here’s to our little girls and how much we love them xoxo
