One of my favourite blogs is you are my fave. The simple concept of sharing your favourite things and ideas really appeals to me and the blog is full of fun DIY projects and the most gorgeous party tips.
For today’s post I am borrowing that idea and sharing a few of my favourite creations by Ava, or ‘artworks’ as she likes to call them. (Yes, that word came straight from my mouth!).
Some of these were created at kinder but most were done at home. I don’t think a day goes past when Ava doesn’t sit down and draw or make something. It’s my default activity with her and I try to keep things varied from week to week.
Some fun creative stuff we have done lately:
– paper chain creations using Daiso’s pre-cut strips & washi tape
– home-made confetti using Daiso’s origami paper & shaped hole punchers
– a crazy wand (made at the NGV using paper, feathers & pipe cleaners)
– a set of paper food for tiger (from The Tiger Who Came To Tea) and some kooky eye masks.
If you struggle doing creative stuff with your little ones, there are some great blogs/sites out there with loads of easy and fun activities. My faves are Tinkerlab and more recently Art Bar Blog. Both have Instagram and Pinterest accounts and whenever I’m stuck for ideas, that’s where I head first.
Happy creating folks and stay tuned for the next me&my.faves installment xx
PS – My fave is the last one pictured above. It may look like a bunch of random scribbles to you, but I like the idea that Ava is channeling her inner Jackson Pollock.
