Ava and I had a mini road trip last weekend which was lots of fun. We spent half the time with my Mum at her leafy retreat in the hills and the other half at my Dad’s for a pre-Christmas pool party. It was a super lovely lead up to the final countdown but I didn’t have a chance to do some much needed planning for the blog.
With Christmas Day just around the corner, I am shattered! My brain is fried, my eyes are hanging out of my head and I feel like I’ve been up for days. So as this year draws to a close, I thought I would keep this post simple and take the opportunity to share some of our highlights of 2014.
High on my list would have to be our family holiday to New Zealand. Kicking off with a super lovely couple of days at a friend’s wedding, we had a really fun and memorable time in Wellington.
I saw some fantastic live shows including the Arctic Monkeys, Vance Joy, Justin Timberlake, Queens of the Stone Age and the one and only Nick Cave. (Yes, that sure is a pretty crazy eclectic mix!).
Photography 101 with Brooke Holm (run by The School) and a brilliant social media workshop run by the lovely ladies of The Digital Picnic kept me inspired and motivated.
Last, but definitely not least, me&mygirl was born. I jumped in the deep end, got way out of my comfort zone and launched this blog. Since October, I have not missed one deadline and I have loved my journey so far. I am so lucky to have the most amazing muse right by my side every day. Some days she drives me crazy but most of the time, I am in awe of her and have been since the day she arrived.
It’s still early days for me&mygirl but I am really excited about what comes next. I am incredibly grateful for all the support from my family, friends (and newcomers) and can’t wait to see where it takes us in 2015!
PS – How is it only 2 sleeps until Christmas? We’ll be seeing Easter eggs before we know it!
