Believe it or not, Christmas Day is only a little over three weeks away, eek! In our recent post ‘I heart Xmas Gifts’ we showed you how to make simple creative gifts for family and friends. Today I thought I would share with you some store bought gift ideas that are fun and a little bit quirky. All under $30 so they won’t break the bank either.
1. Stencil Kit* from Typo, $14.95
This kit includes 10 reusable plastic stencil sheets with various cute designs including cats, hearts, owls, stars, butterflies and more. There are a few different themes including basic shapes, travel and Christmas fun. A perfect choice for a creative kid.
2. DIY Tote Bag* from Typo, $19.95
I love this idea and I know a few small peeps that would too. Such a simple DIY and one that you can proudly display by wearing it!
3. Magic Garden from the Australian Geographic Shop, $12.95
Some of you may remember this one, a science play set from back in the 80s (I think!). It’s a flowering crystal garden that grows before your eyes and secretly I want this one for myself!
4. Motex Embossing Label Maker from Lark Store, $25.00
This takes me straight back to being 12 again! A retro label maker for organising your craft supplies, magazines, photos – well anything really. It’s not just for kids, I have one and use it to label my folders, stamps and all my reference stuff for the blog. It comes in pink or green in a box with two letter wheels (caps and lower case) and also includes one roll of tape.
5. Instant White Snow from Kikki K, $4.95
This would have to be the best stocking filler I’ve seen lately. Just add water and the tiny white granules turn into fluffy white snow! I bought a few bags for Ava’s stocking so we can make a lot.
6. Glasses without Lenses from Daiso, $2.80 each
These are hilarious and as soon as I saw them, I had to have them. They are literally plastic glasses frames with no lenses and while shooting our launch photos, Ava and I decided to wear them for a laugh. In between fits of giggles we managed to get the perfect shot. What a steal and a must for the goofball in all of us!
Happy shopping peeps and stay tuned for some more ideas on how to make Christmas a little bit more handmade xx
