When I was little, my Mum used to colour match my clothes. My socks had to match the colour of my top and my hair ribbon (and/or clips) would have to be the same colour too. I am certain that’s where it all started – my love of colour and of course, accessories.
Back in the 80s, it was all about pastels and I lived in polo shirts in every pastel imaginable. Along with the polo shirts came the baseball caps, back when you stuck your ponytail through the hole in the back of the cap and you swang it around as you walked.
These days, the baseball caps have been replaced by a couple of trilbys, a fedora, a variety of straw hats and a mixed bag of woolen hats for the winter months.
My fave choice for sunny days is my fedora that I bought at the Preston Market (yes, I said the Preston Market!). It’s surprisingly good quality and I wear it all the time. Last Christmas Ava was given a matching hat with a cool face embroidered on it. It’s a gorgeous piece from Seed which she loves and we always have a giggle when we wear them together.
