It’s our last day in NZ and we will be very sad to say goodbye. We have had a brilliant time mostly because early on we decided to take it easy and not rush around. Try to have an actual holiday and not worry too much about seeing absolutely everything (as you tend to do when you don’t have kids!).
Our travels in the past (before Ava) were jam-packed visits where I was determined to see every gallery, museum and cool bar possible as well as trying to capture all of that on film (yes I said film, as most of our travels were before an iPhone and DSLR came into my life).
So, we have eaten in Otaki, Miramar, Lyall Bay, Gladstone (in the Wairarapa wine region), Queens Wharf and (the cool) Cuba Street in the heart of the city.
We went to a glorious wedding in Otaki, we’ve seen the picturesque sights of the Wairarapa wine country, the tranquil southern coastline of the North Island and the hustle and bustle of downtown Wellington.
We would love to come back again to explore more of this lovely country. The people are really friendly and there are so many great places to hang out with small peeps.
Here’s a snapshot of some of the fun and we’ll write more when we return to Oz. Happy Friday peeps xx
PS – ‘Ka kite ano’ means ‘see you again’ in Maori.
